The Max Mara fashion show was a collection of feminine elegance inspired by the 1950’s beauty Marilyn Monroe, set to a backdrop of swashing waves on the shore, creating a chilled and comfy walk along the beach vibe. The designs were filled with snuggly oversized knits over cashmere pencil skirts in understated tones of camel, greys and pinky browns. The 50’s theme was created through the use of retro patterns of black and white gingham, check and subtle animal print in heavy, long coats. One of the coolest looks on the runway was the use of quilted fabrics used for skirts, jumpers and dresses in metallic colours such blue steel, gold, silver and bronze. An amazing show highlighting classic chic trends for outerwear.
